Meeting Halfway

Regardless of country, race, political views, religion or sexual orientation, we are all in this mess together. We can make choices on a daily basis to stop feeding on fear and blame: low level energies that are counterproductive in nature.

Today we can take one simple step that enables us to live in a world of moving forward with respect, diplomacy and love.

Music is quick therapy, so just:

1. Turn up your device’s volume

2. Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply, connecting with a mental picture of somebody who holds views that are different than your own. It might be a politician or group of leaders, a company or boss from your place of employment, a spouse or other family member, or anybody else that pops into your mind.

3. Write down or say out loud, “I disagree with the way you…, because I believe that…”

6. Watch the video and listen to the song.

7. Picture this person/people again. Write down “While I cannot directly control what you do or how you think, I can meet you halfway there by (fill in whatever comes to mind, such as listening to their words before changing the channel, listening to opposing political views with an open mind, working to focus on positive commonalities and not get lost in differences, etc.)
