Honoring Friendships

As we spend more time isolated from others, it becomes easy to fall into a pattern of not reaching out to our friends. Usually this happens because we start to believe that we do not have a lot of new things to add to the relationship or conversation.

Today we will remind ourselves how untrue these thoughts can be!

Music is quick therapy, so just:

1. Turn up your device’s volume.

2. Think of a friend whom you really cherish but have not spoken to recently.

3. Connect with why you value this person in your life as much as you do. Recall fun times you have shared in the past, a time he or she was there for you when you needed it, or times you look forward to enjoying together in the future.

4. Click on the photo below, which will redirect you to YouTube.

5. Watch the video while retaining these thoughts of your friend.

6. Time to take action: give him or her a call, send a text, set up a Zoom and/or shoot off a quick email.
