Casting Worry Aside
It’s natural during times of uncertainty to worry.
Studies demonstrate that we believe worrying will ward off bad surprises, allow us to feel safer, show that we care, provide us with motivation and/or lead to problem solving.
The reality is that worrying puts our nervous system on high alert, which stimulates physical tension as well.
Today we will spend a few moments creating habits that enable better coping mechanisms.
Music is quick therapy, so just:
1. Turn up your device’s volume.
2. Breathe deeply and begin to focus your awareness on anything that might be causing you to worry at the present time.
3. Write these concerns down and connect with how worrying is impacting your state of being. Pay particularly attention to how your nervous system and physical body feel when you look at what you wrote.

5. Watch the video, breathing calmly and doing nothing other than being present in the moment and embracing its message. Look back at your list with a fresh perspective.
6. Utilize this exercise anytime you find yourself beginning to worry, recognizing that the more you learn to embrace uncertainty the better equipped you are to face fears.
